Mmmmm… Nothing is as refreshing as an orange julius! I feed my family orange julius year-round! Even in the winter – it is a part of our pizza, popcorn and movie night. My mom made this for us as kids – so here is her recipe:
6oz can of frozen orange juice concentrate
1 cup of water
1 cup of cold milk
1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Place all of the above in a blender and blend. Then add 10 ice cubes and blend until they are tiny chips. Serve (I always serve mine in a tall glass with a straw!)
Walk with the King!
Yum – I just added your link up at Tasty Tuesday. We were thinking a like this week. 🙂
I’ve never had these. They sound yummy. I’m definitely trying these!
My husband makes these all the time in the summer, only he uses OJ and powdered milk. It turns out really well.
It’s been ages since I’ve had an orange julius! I need to see if I can find frozen concentrate here.
yum! these are my favorite — thanks for your recipe (I love that it does not have egg!)
That looks easy enough. I could try that one! 🙂 I love your blog design…so cute. 🙂
Yum! This sounds delish! I haven’t had a julius in forever. LOL! I’ll have to try this. 😀
Thanks for sharing! Have a great Tuesday!
Courtney, I love this recipe. We have orange “Julies” on New Year’s Eve every year … a tradition since I was a little girl and my dad made them.
Oh yum! I can remember as a teenager getting these at the mall… but that store went out about the time my big hair did, LOL. I’ll definitely be trying this with my kids– thanks for sharing!
I’m sharing my Broccoli Salad recipe today in my TMT post.
I definitely want to try this! I used to get these at the mall when I was a teenager. Thanks for sharing!
This sounds easy and delicious. I am always happy when I find recipes my kids will enjoy.
My boys would love these. Thanks for sharing!
BTW- I love your header! Very cute!
Any suggestions for making a strawberry Julius? We love orange julius but Strawberry are by far my favorite.
I just made some for Hubby and I and it is a thumbs up from us both…very yummy
How many people does this serve?
I had the same question, can’t be more than 2, based on the proportions, but I’d have to cut the sugar way back. Guess that what makes them taste like the real thing.
Do you think I can make a cup of it with orange juice because the others members are Alergic to pranked. They get sinus infections when they have oh.
