Coming Soon…A Virtual Marriage Retreat & Messy Beautiful Love

Embrace[3]

I am so excited to share with you the “Embrace Your Marriage” Virtual Marriage Retreat! I am partnering up with some of my favorite marriage bloggers every Monday in the month of September, to focus on our marriages! Each week we will include a challenge and links to the other writers so you can virtually visit us all! While we all hold the same Biblical principles, we each have our own unique perspective and life experiences. We pray this will bless you! Join me back here this Monday, September 1st as we begin!

And while we are on the topic of marriage – I must share a marriage book that is about to be released. Messy Beautiful Love Cover

    1. Could you and some friends and/or family go in together and share it? I would suggest the library but I’m not sure it’d be there since it’s brand new. That’s what I would try. I won’t be able to pick up the book either but I figure with the blogging through the Bible challenge I’ll be plenty busy reading my little heart out.

  1. This is so exciting! Is this the writing project you mentioned several weeks ago that you were working on? 🙂

    1. No that writing project is separate and not something you will see for a loooooong time. The editing and publishing process is long. 😉

      Thanks for asking!

      1. Oh ok, you go girl!! Can’t wait to dig in to God’s Word with the thru the Bible challenge. I have already started reading the books assigned for Sept and will start over from the beginning on Sept. 1 🙂 I have been failing spiritually for a while now and God “turned the light bulb” on tonight for me and I realize it’s b/c I’ve been on a starvation diet (of the Word that is)!! Your challenge is what sparked my desire to get back in God’s Word.

        Mary

        1. Same here Mary!! I maybe have gone to church but that’s not enough I should be in His word too!! I’m glad I’m not alone! 🙂 Because to be honest I have just felt I dont know missing something and just miserable with my life lately and I dont want that at all!!! This challenge is just what I needed too Courtney!! Too bad we couldn’t meet at a retreat someplace in mountains and really study God’s nature and His word!!

      2. Hi Courtney, I was wondering about that project too. I do my wondering/pondering/worrying at night in bed. I know, I am supposed to sleep! (lol) 😉 but I can’t seem to help myself. Everything pops up in my mind at a time that same mind should be quiet.

I am looking forward to this virtual retreat and have ordered Darlene’s book.

And as always: many blessings from Abby from Belgium aka Ilona

        Big hug x

      1. Awesome!!! My husband agrees to free things 😀 And I’m so excited to blog through the Bible! Thank you for all your hard work!

  2. This sounds great! I am very excited for ALL that God is giving you to share with us. May you continue to feel strengthened by our prayers and God’s hand on you.

I have been in prayer for the fall study and asking for guidance and direction. I am going to join your Blogging through the Bible GMG group. I am really looking forward to it.

    Thanks for all you do,
    Misty

  3. I LOVE this so much!!! I always want to go to retreats but it is so difficult to plan with a family, jobs, and animals to leave and go hours away. This is perfect!

  4. Can’t wait to get started! I picked up a new journal I’m going to use. I started reading into Esther already and the Lord shows me such interesting things, teaching my heart to love Him more!

  5. Hi Courtney,
I was really encouraged by watching some of your videos today on this page. I also watched your interview on Rachel Ray. My husband broke his leg three weeks ago and it has changed a lot of things in our every day life. I have to do most things for him and he is struggling with the things he can’t do. I’ve been praying for joy in serving him and it has been a struggle for me. I’m serving but not joyfully and lovingly the way Christ would want me to. I feel like I’m in a slump. Your videos were an encouragement and they gave me a push to be more loving and affectionate, to get refocused about my purpose. Thanks!!!!

    1. Angela…I know what that feels like! My own husband has had periods of immobility with a bum knee that goes out periodically. Praying for you both! And YES Courtney gives so much encouragement. I’m grateful to her myself.

  6. I, too, have just pre-ordered the book and am really looking forward to the study in November. And the virtual retreat sounds great!

  7. I look forward to this series…so many of my favourite ladies! I plan on buying the book as soon as I can…Darlene is always so inspiring. Thank you, thank you Courtney for always coming up with something to refresh and inspire us!

  8. Can you please let me know how to sign up for the “Embrace Your Marriage” Virtual Marriage Retreat!?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Laurie – there are no sign-ups – just join us here on the blog every Monday in September! Feel free to subscribe to this blog on the sidebar if you are afraid you might forget. Then the emails will come to your inbox. 😉
