This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. – Joshua 1:8

  1. Chuck Swindoll used to say: “Life is so daily.” That monotony sometimes gets to us. We yearn for adventure, romance, excitement, meaningful activity, fame, fortune, fun, control. However, what we get is the humdrum of daily routines – over and over and over again. Day in and day out, the same order of things continues. “Bored” is a word I hear all too often. The Psalmist talked of his “cup overflowing” and Jesus spoke of “abundant life.” Where are these in our daily grind “under the sun”? Thank you, Courtney, for leading us in finding the answers.

  2. I love that you are doing this. I wish I could hang with you all through the readings! I wanted to read along through Deuteronomy with you all but I am trying to read straight through the Bible and still had Numbers to go. I didn’t want to skip! Now I am in Deuteronomy. Oh well, I still like popping by here to see where you are and what you have to say about the verses. Love Ecclesiastes.

  3. I am really enjoying the study and getting a lot out of it already. Can’t wait to continue thru the rest of the study. Thank you Courtney and your Mom for sacrificing your time even tho I know you were both blessed and will continue to be blessed for having put this study together.
