Introducing Good Morning Girl’s New Fall Bible Study

Join Good Morning Girls as we read through the Bible cover to cover one chapter a day. Here are the resources you need to study the book of Ruth #Biblestudy #Ruth #WomensBibleStudy #GoodMorningGirls

I am bursting with excitement! I can’t wait to share with you a project that my mom and I have been working on – for months and months – behind the scenes!

The first project my mom and I did together was the in-depth Bible Study in the book of Ecclesiastes and it has by far been my most popular study.

Many of you have asked us to write another one just like it.  So we listened and went to work again! My mom wrote first, doing the background work – she is SO good at that – and I wrote second, intertwining my thoughts with hers.

So back by popular demand – our new in-depth Bible study is in the book of (drum roll please)…

This is not like the journals that I typically release at the start of a study.

This Bible Study is a verse by verse – chapter by chapter – in-depth study in the book of Ruth.

This means we have done the background work and have written a verse by verse guide through the book of Ruth.  It includes cross references to the Old and New Testament, application questions and discussion questions –so you can do this with a group if you choose.

Every Friday, I will record a video for you and post it here.

We begin our study in the the Book of Ruth on Monday, September 10th!

This is a 5-week study that runs Mondays through Fridays, ending on October 12th.

It is available on Amazon NOW!
Both inPaperback and on Kindle!

Ruth: God’s Amazing Love for You – an in-depth Bible Study

The story of Ruth and Boaz is one of the most beautiful examples of God’s love and sovereignty recorded in the Bible. Woven through out this beautiful love story is a greater story of God’s amazing love for us.

If you have faced loss and wonder if God really loves you or if God is involved in the details of your life, then this study is for you. Ruth’s courage in the face of adversity will inspire you to trust God with your future.  This book will fill you to the brim with hope, as you see an imperfect family be used mightily by God!

Here on the blog every Monday, I will provide free resources for the week including the weekly Bible reading plan, discussion questions (for GMG groups to use)/ reflection questions (for personal use),  meditation verses and more!

Then on Fridays, I’ll wrap up the week with a video here on the blog and invite you to fellowship in the comments.

Out on the Good Morning Girls Facebook page, we’ll have daily discussions that start in the morning around 7:30am but you can join us anytime during the day. (This is optional.  You do not have to join the Facebook discussions to join this Bible Study – this is just extra accountability for those who are willing to share there.)

I will also be posting the verse of the day along with pictures of my highlighted Bible as a guide, out on Women Living Well’s Instagram.

FAQ

How do I enroll for this summer study?

There is no enrollment.  No requirement to subscribe.  Just come and join in anytime!

What is Good Morning Girls?

“Good Morning Girls” is a title for a group of women who use email, Facebook, Twitter or text messaging to keep each other accountable for their quiet times.

Do I have to have a Good Morning Girls Group to join the Bible Study?

No.  You can do this study without a group on your own.

How Do I Start a Good Morning Girls accountability group?

Invite some of your friends to join you.  Pray about who from your church, Bible study group, family, neighborhood or workplace would be a good fit.  Groups that are smaller generally work better – 5-12 is a good number especially for email and text messaging groups. Facebook groups can go quite a bit larger and still work.

Once I have a group, what do I do?

Either create a Facebook Group where you can all discuss your daily reading and reflection questions or create an email group and email the group daily.  My group uses Voxer – a voice messaging app -to share about our quiet times.  You could also use text messaging or meet in person weekly in your home or at a coffee shop.

I want to be a leader of a group but I’m not sure how to lead?

If you are unsure of how to lead an accountability group,  we have a GMG Leader’s Manual.  It is available on Amazon. The manual includes: The leader’s responsibilities.  How to set up a Good Morning Girls Group. What to do once your group is set up. Tips to help your GMG Group thrive. How to Encourage Participation. How to fostering an atmosphere of community. The importance of prayer. A sample welcome letter. 9 ways to get more out of your Bible Study. Answers to frequently asked questions. Icebreaker Questions. And What to do if your GMG Group is struggling.

Can I Join a Group On-Line?

Yes, on Friday, August 31st I will invite women with open groups to leave links to their facebook groups or email groups, in the comment section here on the blog. So please stop back on that day to look for a group!

  2. Courtney, I’m so excited! I can’t wait to lead my group through this study of one of my FAVORITE books of the Bible!! 🙂

  3. Hi Everyone,
Oh I am so excited to start this study!!! I love the book of Ruth. I just ordered the study book. I will be posting the information in my online facebook group next. We all have really enjoyed the study of Psalm over the summer. I also will have openings in my group for more ladies to join in for this study of Ruth. Thank you Courtney. Great picture of you and your mom by the way.

  4. Courtney, this is so exciting !!!
We just picked the Book of Ruth for a Bible study at church in the fall too.
This is confirmation that this is where we need to be. I have done your bible studies for years now and I am happy to include others at my church along with you too.
Also Courtney in my daily reading plan I intentionally selected the Book of Ruth to study in my devotions time and then I read your email.
So this book is coming from there different directions!!! Hallejuah!!!
    So excited!!!

  5. Yes, so excited for this!! I’ve been doing GMG since the way beginning, 2008. I love it so much and this has helped me immensely, especially because I am going to school and am working part time. Thank you to you and your mom for doing this!!
    Blessings,
    Adrienne

  6. So pleased you have done another one. I loved the Ecclesiastes one and will be ordering the Ruth one shortly. I am in the UK – and really love your studies. I am sorry you have gone through what you have..and I continue praying for you and your two children. When it comes down to it, is just us and God – so I am really encouraged that your are back doing the studies.

  7. How well can this study be done without watching the video’s. I know several women in our church who don’t have internet and they don’t get out a lot. I was thinking this could be an encouragement to them but wasn’t sure how the book was set up. (I had one book -not yours- that talked a lot about the videos – so if you didn’t watch them, you missed out on a lot and you knew it) Thanks!

    1. Hi Kattie,

Good question! The Bible Study workbook is a complete Bible Study on the book of Ruth and does not reference the videos. They are more like a cherry on top rather than the main theme of the study – so you can do the study without them. 😉

      Hope that helps!
      Love,
      Courtney 🙂

  8. I can’t wait I ordered my book and I’m praying to form a bible study group. This will be my first time doing anything like this.
