Happy New Year! I’m so glad you are here! We are about to begin our study through the book of 2 Kings on Monday, January 13th and EVERYTHING you need to get started is below – so keep on scrolling down. There is a lot of information below but the most important part is where you leave a comment and let us know where you are joining us from. This is not the same as the Paperback Journal – this eJournal has been created for low-cost printing on a home printer and does not include the Introduction to 2 Kings, Verses of the Day or Reflection questions.
Invite your sons and daughters!
Just like us – our children NEED to be in God’s Word daily. Children over the age of ten are capable of reading a chapter a day and SOAKing what they have read. I encourage you to introduce this method of study to your children. Teach them how to drink from the living well of God’s word and soak in all the spiritual nourishment they can!
If you have a son joining you – there is a journal available for them! The interior is identical to the girls journal.
What is 2 Kings all about?
In 2 Kings, we will see the spiritual decline of Israel and Judah, as they refuse to turn from their idols and follow God wholeheartedly. As a result, they will be taken into captivity. But before they are taken into captivity, God continually raises up prophets to warn the nation of Israel, to turn from their wicked ways. One of those prophets is Elisha and he performs 14 amazing miracles in 2 Kings! You don’t want to miss this! We are going to learn so much about the God we serve.

We are Reading Through the Bible– one chapter a day – five days a week.
There are no sign-ups or enrollments.
We are reading through the Bible, switching back and forth between the New Testament and the Old Testament.
So far we have completed 25 books of the Bible:
Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Song of Solomon, Ecclesiastes, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians and James! To keep track of all of the books you have completed use this printable below. Notice there are no dates on any of our reading plans so anyone can join us anytime.

Welcome, Chris! If you haven’t done an online Bible study before, it is a little weird at first, and it takes some time to get used to. What I have found though, is that we are working as a group with women from all over the U.S., who have different perspectives, and you can learn more, (I think) than if you are in a group of people from the same neighborhood. You can use the Holy Bible app and get lots of translations. You can make notes in the app.

Hello, My name is Karen M. Roth. I was in this group years ago ( 2010) before my health took a serious downturn and I ended up in the hospital twice. I have since then retriggered my Closed Head TBI and now I am going totally blind and deaf. I just had a lung CAT Scan and they found a Blood Clot on my lungs and I may also be in Stage 3 of Peripheral Arterial Disease.
I just found out that I am losing four members of my family, my mother, father and brother, and my mother-in-law. I come from a long line of Generational Curses and I chose to be the one to break it all, Abuse, neglect, and tragically murder and alcoholism and illegal street drug addictions. I quit drinking in 1998 and I quit smoking on October 10, 2007. Like the song says, “I have Branches of my own, just when I thought it would break, it only would bend but I would not break.” Paraphrasing it here:)
I am a crafting fool I love most outlets of crafting but I am finding I love quilting by hand and Crocheting, Beading, Embroidery, and Mixed Media Art, with my 3D Computer Generated artwork the most. I have set my heart to create as much beauty as I can before I am no longer able to out of the ashes of this life given to me with the Lord’s help.
I plan to go back to school and earn my B.A. in Graphics Arts before I go totally blind and Lord willing I have a very special Charity project to also start this year named after my precious Angel baby, ‘Tobias Wings’. I lost him back in 1998 when I fell on the ice and was not allowed to name him until I finally got free and I determined this past month to name him- Tobias Nathaniel Jones.
I am in Ellensburg, Washington and would love to find a Group that is for the Chronically Ill. I am on most social media platforms as ffpaws or Masquerading Crafter. Looking forward to starting this Study {{{hugz}}}

Hi I am Jerryann Church and I live in Clarkston, Washington. I recognize the name of your town so we must be close by. I too have some similar issues and can relate to several things you mentioned. This will be my first go-around with GMG, my journal should be delivered on Mon. the 6th, can’t wait. 2019 wasn’t exactly my best year but I’m still alive through God’s love and grace, thank heaven! I’m looking forward to joining a group of Christian women with similar goals in mind. It would be nice to talk to someone I didn’t have to spend 30 minutes explaining myself to before getting into the meat of the conversation. I simply don’t have that kind of stamina any more. I to am a creative woman. I’ve discovered it doesn’t really matter to me what the articles are it’s the creation part that interests me. For a while it was quilting, machine embroidery, sewing clothing,. I know all the needle arts. I enjoy cooking and baking and recently have gotten into homemade sourdough, fermenting, canning etc. See, it doesn’t really matter to me what products you set before me, I can’t resist the temptation to create something pretty out of it!! (smile) Anyway hoping to meet other Christian women with similar feelings and ideas. You sounded like a good victum hmmmm I mean friend I think would a better choice of words here – I also have an odd sense of humor too apparently!

When Courtney announced this study she said it’s ok if you missed 1 Kings. She also said she would catch us up so we aren’t lost when we start. I missed it too, but I’m looking forward to this one. Making your home a Haven was my first study with her and I loved it!
