It’s a New Year! Are You Living Your Life on Purpose?

In today's video, I share that the start of a new year is a perfect time to begin living your life on purpose. #Biblestudy #Ephesians #WomensBibleStudy #GoodMorningGirls

Happy New Year! I always love the start of a new year and fresh beginnings!

Today I want to talk about living your life on purpose.

If you haven’t discovered your purpose, I hope today’s video gives you ways to discover the unique plan and calling God has on YOUR life. And if you do know your purpose, I hope to encourage you to live with courage, as you step into your calling this year!

Join me on today’s video as we take a look at your reading in Ephesians and specifically at Ephesians 2:10 which says:

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

I know it’s easy to make excuses to not live on purpose or to think we are not good enough to be used by God. Surely I am not fit to be making these videos. I am a very flawed woman – my kids could easily give you a list of my flaws! Lol! BUT somehow God still uses me –  and so I know he can use you too.

I saw this meme once titled: Excuses and it really encouraged me – I hope it encourages you to. It goes like this:

The next time you think you have an excuse why God can’t use you, consider the following:

  • Noah was a drunkard
  • Abraham was too old
  • Isaac was a daydreamer
  • Jacob was a liar
  • Leah was unattractive
  • Joseph was abused
  • Moses was a murderer
  • Gideon was afraid
  • Rahab was a prostitute
  • Timothy was too young
  • David had an affair
  • Peter was hot-tempered
  • The disciples fell asleep while praying
  • Martha worried about everything
  • Mary Magdalene was once demon-possessed
  • The Samaritan woman was divorced more than once
  • Zacchaeus was too small
  • Paul was too religious
  • and Lazarus was dead.

No More Excuses!

Friends, when we went from death to life, 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us we became a new creation in christ.

YOU were created for a purpose!

You have an eternal job description. You are uniquely called and gifted to accomplish what God has for you.

God designed you to do— what he designed you to do.

So do it!

Live your life on purpose.

It’s a new year – it’s time to slow down.

Yield to God.

Get alone with him and ask him what his will is for you?  Give all of yourself fully to him and live surrendered this year.

Keep walking with the King,

Courtney
