What is Isaiah 1-23 all about?
The name Isaiah means salvation is of the Lord. ย Isaiah brought to Israel and Judah, a message of judgement for their rebellion but also a message of hope for salvation, through the coming Messiah.
For the first part of Isaiah, Isaiah focuses on Godโs judgement of Israel. Godโs people had turned their back on God and had become like the other nations around them. God would use the Assyrians and Babylonians to bring judgement upon them. ย Isaiah called on Godโs people to turn back and seek the Lord and he assures them that after judgement, a godly remnant would remain.
For the second part of Isaiah, Isaiah announces that Israelโs punishment and exile is over, and salvation has come.ย We see that God is faithful to his covenant promises.ย No other prophet is quoted in the New Testament as much as Isaiah.ย Isaiah foretold the coming King of Israel, who would rule in justice and peace and would bear their sins.

What is Good Morning Girls?
โGood Morning Girlsโ is a title for a group of women who use email, Facebook, Twitter or text messaging to keep each other accountable for their quiet times.
Do I have to have a Good Morning Girls Group to join the Bible Study?
No.ย You can do this study without a group on your own.
How Do I Start a Good Morning Girls accountability group?
Invite some of your friends to join you. ย Pray about who from your church, Bible study group, family, neighborhood or workplace would be a good fit. ย Groups that are smaller generally work better โ 5-12 is a good number especially for email and text messaging groups. Facebook groups can go quite a bit larger and still work.
Once I have a group, what do I do?
Either create a Facebook Group where you can all discuss your daily reading and reflection questions or create an email group and email the group daily.ย My group uses the Voxer App โ a voice messaging app -to share about our quiet times.ย You could also use text messaging or meet in person weekly in your home or at a coffee shop.
I want to be a leader of a group but Iโm not sure how to lead?
To access the FREE Leaderโs Training Video Seriesย go โโ> HERE.
The Good Morning Girls Leaders Manualย is available asย a digital download for free โ> HERE.
Or you can find it outย on Amazon in Paperback โ> Here.
The manual includes: The leaderโs responsibilities.ย How to set up a Good Morning Girls Group. What to do once your group is set up. Tips to help your GMG Group thrive. How to Encourage Participation. How to fostering an atmosphere of community. The importance of prayer. A sample welcome letter. 9 ways to get more out of your Bible Study. Answers to frequently asked questions. Icebreaker Questions. And What to do if your GMG Group is struggling.
Can I Join a Group On-Line?
Yes, in January I will invite women with open groups to leave links to their facebook groups or email groups, in the comment section here on the blog. So please stop back on that day to look for a group!
Thatโs all for now. If you have never seen the video that explains how the SOAK Method and Bible Coloring Chart work โ I am posting it below. You do not have to use this method of Bible Study to join us.ย All you really need is your Bible and an open heart.ย But these tools will help you go deeper.

Do you have to do this study in the morning? Or is it available to do any time of the day?
Hi Fonny,
You can do this study at whatever time works best for you. The blog posts, instagram and facebook posts will be available in the morning and there for you to join in whenever you can.
Much Love,
Courtney ๐
I seem to be confused. Have we or have we not done Esther? I see it listed as finished sometimes (as in today’s post) but I don’t find a link to indicate that it was already done. I thought I had caught up completely (since I started late). Could you answer that? Thank you. Merry Christmas blessings!!!!
Hi Bobbie – you are right! That is confusing.
Esther was the very first study that we did for the Blogging Through the Bible Series. We went through it so fast that I think I will most likely go back and cover it again at a slower pace. If you want to see the posts from that study these are them:
https://womenlivingwell.org/2014/09/esther-is-not-the-hero-god-is/
https://womenlivingwell.org/2014/09/when-your-story-doesnt-end-like-esther-or-cinderella/
So we did complete Esther but most people missed it and I had not started creating journals yet – so technically – we have completed it but most likely I will go back and do it again.
Hope that makes sense. Lol!
Much Love,
Courtney ๐
Thanks so much. It makes perfect sense. I just thought I’d missed it somewhere along the line since I started after you’d already done a few books. Then, yes, I AM caught up with you. LOL
Is there video with subtitles?? That will more helpful for me.
I am so looking forward to digging into Isaiah and learning more. I got the book in today’s mail and I can’t wait to get started.
Courtney ~ Will there be a printable bookmark with this series? I am not seeing one here and I love them!
Hi Susan! Yes, there will be a printable bookmark in the next blog post- which will be on Friday.๐
What version of the bible do you use?? I run a bible study doing Acts…and is there a specific denomination?? Or non denominational?? Just curious
Hi Kathy! I use the ESV Inductive Study Bible.๐
Looking forward to this study.
Courtney, I would like to start a Facebook group and want to know how I can use the picture of the journal as my cover picture? I have a few ladies who would like to do this study with me.
Thank you,
Shari
Hi Shari! All of the resources & pictures will be in the next blog post- which will be on Friday. Thank you so much for leading a group! ๐
Looking forward to it
Hello! I am gathering the supplies that I need to participate in this study. You state that you “use the ESV Inductive Study Bible and the ESV Journaling Bible as [your] personal study Bible.” Do you use both of these Bibles and the optional Journal?
Thank you!

Yay!!!! I have been praying to find a good bible study and group. I am 26 and not many of my friends want to join, so im going at it by myself!
You are not alone and it is encouraging to hear of you pressing on. My niece and I are doing this together although miles apart. We joined a Fbook group and it is helpful. Courtney’s group is very helpful too. God bless you!
Courtney
