Grape Salad Dessert
Janelle from Comfy In The Kitchen has a dessert that your taste buds and jeans will enjoy! She said “I tried this amazing dessert for the first time at a recent family gathering. I took my first bite with a bit of caution because I didn’t really know what it was…to my surprise it was one of the most delicious treats I have ever tasted!!!!! In this recipe, I scaled down the calories and used low-fat sour cream and lite cream cheese. If the thought of putting sour cream over grapes makes you question this recipe…think of old-fashioned cheesecake. Trust me you are going to love this one. I just made this for guests at our house and we all had seconds around the table!”
Red and Green Seedless Grapes, Low-Fat Cream Cheese, Lite Sour Cream, Sugar, Brown Sugar, Vanilla, Chopped Pecans
In a medium bowl add cream cheese, sour cream, white sugar, and vanilla
Beat with mixer until well combined and smooth
Remove grapes from stems and rinse
Combine brown sugar with chopped pecans
Place over top of grapes (you may also place on the side if you desire) Note: While I was at the store, I looked at the calories on the 1/2 Splenda 1/2 brown sugar box and regular brown sugar has less calories.
Stir cream cheese mixture with the grapes and place in a serving dish.
Low-Fat Dessert – Grape Salad
1 ½ lbs green seedless grapes
1 ½ lbs red seedless grapes
8 oz lite sour cream
8 oz low-fat cream cheese
½ cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla Topping
¼ cup brown sugar
½ cup chopped pecans
Remove stems from grapes and rinse. Beat sour cream, cream cheese, granulated sugar and vanilla with mixer. Stir grapes into the mixture and place in a serving dish. Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over top.

Yes, this IS delicious! It is one of my favorites!!
I have a friend who makes this all the time and I have recently been taking it to potlucks or serving it to guests. Everybody loves it and asks for the recipe. Nobody I've made it for has ever heard of it before–so I'm so surprised to see it posted here!
I made this recently for a shower and it was the HIT of the buffet table. Very yummy 🙂
Blessings!
Gail
LOVE this. Our friend makes this as his speciality. Everytime we have a gathering we assign him the grape salad! 🙂
Yes! I eat something similar that is equally divine and gets an equal amount of strange stares… vanilla yogurt with grapes and topped with granola. Yum! I'm going to try this recipe as it looks even more delicious.
Thanks!!
Kate
Holy Cow! this looks awesome! I'm thinking I might just eat the whole bowl and it might defeat my purpose for making it…but we'll see!
I'm going to join you in James. Can I start today????? PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE????

Gina – your comments always CRACK me up ;-)!!!
Thank you ladies! This is SOOO good! Many of you have tried this one…my first time was last weekend, and I was very impressed, I went home and made it the very next day! Enjoy your weekends! Shellbells…WOhooo!!! Gina, yep…I do that too, eat more of something that is supposed to be good, lol! Love, Janelle
I wouldn't have a clue what that was if I didn't see the recipe. That looks so refreshing! Yum!!

Thank you Lady Kara, I agree- LOVE Women Living Well …Courtney has such a gift and blesses us all! Darlene..it would go perfectly with a Diet Pepsi…lol.
I have been making Grape Salad for years after a friend made it for a ladies' get together at our church and I had to get the recipe from her. It's so yummy! Love it!
My step-mom made that at Christmas last year and I couldn't stop eating it. I was like you, though…cautious until after the first bite. Made it for small group after that and there was NOTHING left to take home! Made me sad, but proud at the same time. : )
I just posted a link on my blog this past week for OATMEAL CHEESECAKE BANANA SPLIT. Wow, they are similar. I'm thinking I will love the grape version as well, especially during the summer months. The banana version makes a great breakfast treat.
blessings,
Toni
I make this all the time without the brown sugar/pecan topping. Looking forward to trying it this way soon!
Looking forward to trying it. Need to reevaluate my cooking priorities and help the family eat for health and wellness first and foremost. They like grapes, so this could be right up our alley. Thanks for sharing!

Wow..what a recipe…I am gonna try it next holiday…..I am pretty much concerned about my health…It’s awesome.healthy drinks recipes
Health should be prime concern for your family. I like to encourage women for low fat recipes. They have same taste but not harmful at all. Great blog I must say..
My daughter is allergic to pecans (all tree nuts) so I used dry roasted (lightly salted) peanuts and it was still delicious. Thanks for the recipe!
Can you sub Greek Yogurt for the sour cream?
I was going to say how wonderful a substitute Greek yogurt is for sour cream. I haven’t had sour cream in months!
This dessert may be low-fat but it’s very high in sugar which is worse than fat. I wouldn’t touch this with a 10 ft pole.
This looks so yummy!
Thank you!
