The History of GMG and a Video With the Leadership Team

This summer the GMG Leadership team wrote here on the blog on Wednesdays.  I was so glad you got to read their writing…but I’m even more excited for you to get to see their faces and hear their voices!

In the video below, I open with the story of how GMG began and its history from the start, then each of the ladies share how long they’ve been with GMG, what they do here and what GMG means to them.

Join us for our chat!

{I know the video is a little long – so if you want to chime in now and come back to watch the video later – we understand.  😉  We’d love to hear YOUR story!}

  1. I heard of GMG back in 2011 through a friend but decided to hop on board in Jan 2012. I put a note on Facebook to see if any friends wanted to join me and my FB small group”Morning Glory” started.
As the leader of the FB group, I found myself reading scripture daily and the accountability was incredible! I love having a place to discuss what I’ve read every day. We also share prayer requests so that support has been comforting!!!
I too haven’t aways been able to attend church bible studies but even when I did, that didn’t guarantee I’d read the bible daily. I often did my homework the night before. GMG has given me daily accountability I needed and I feel off if I don’t start my morning in God’s word now!
As a leader, I have been behind the scenes in the leadership FB support group since it started. I saw the growth and this year it’s been a great opportunity to “pay it forward” on the Helping Hands Ministry.
I love being a part of something that uses FB and social media for good! I have learned so much through these studies; I love the format and I love the online support!!!
Thank you Courtney and leadership for all you do! So grateful for those volunteer hours of love you put in!!

    1. Hi Mary,

Wow – since 2012! Awesome! I love reading your story and am so grateful for your help in the leadership group. You are always on it with the links – thank you! And the way you pray for others is inspiring!

I agree – the accountability is incredible at GMG. It’s just what I need and am so glad we all have each other to do this together!

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  2. I heard of GMG in the fall of 2012 and slowly but surely started following along. I was in school at the time and was looking for a way to get back into God’s Word, but wasn’t actively searching for anything when God brought me to Women Living Well one ordinary day as I was procrastinating on my homework by reading the Proverbs 31 Ministries blog. I have done every study since I discovered GMG and in January I joined a group for the very first time. I love the accountability, encouragement, and motivation that the GMG community provides. It is such a blessing to look back at my prayer journals and to see how I have consistently been in God’s word every. single. (week) day for the past 2 years! I can’t even begin to describe what this has meant for my walk with God and now to say that I will have read the Bible cover to cover in a few short years here…so grateful for this ministry!

    1. I forgot to mention…I love following along on the GMG Facebook page every morning! It is amazing to read what is on the hearts of women around the world 🙂

  3. I found you in 2011 and started my first group. Several of those friends are still faithful GMG! The accountability has changed my life and my walk with God.

Thanks for the get-to-know you video! 🙂

    1. Hi Becca – I always love seeing your name pop up in the comments – the Banana part makes you memorable. 🙂 Thank you for the encouragement over the years – it means so much and I’m thrilled to hear that ladies from your first group are still going strong!!!

      Awesome!
      Much Love,
      Courtney

  4. This is my first time with GMG and it has been awesome I had never heard of color coding until I joined this group thank u courtney

    1. Welcome April – I am SO glad you are are enjoying our summer session and can’t wait to do the book of Acts in the fall together!

      Keep going!
      Courtney

  5. I began in 2012 with, “Revive Your Marriage” study. I’ve been hooked ever since, I love your insight, and your encouragements with each study. I’ve done every one since. I bought your book the next year and have read it twice and done the study, I am anxiously awaiting your second one. I live in a small town and homeschool two adopted boys with some small learning disorders, and we are home more than not. The studies keep me focused on God, as I walk the Word! Thank you and your team, you guys are awesome!

  6. Cannot remember specifically – I had surgery (and then a 2nd emergency surgery) 5 years ago – During the 10 weeks off I had time to search the internet for a bible study. Found Proverbs 31 – then found Wendy Blight – then found you – then found Proverbs 31 Bible studies…discovered so many connections, all while becoming more immersed in bible study that i should have been more diligent at for the past 30 years. If we pray, God leads us to where we need to be…writing this is a good reminder of that awesome truth.

    1. Hi Jackie –

Yes – it’s so true the way God leads us and guides us to what we need and where we need to be. SO thankful he brought you here 5 years ago and I hope we have another 5 wonderful years together in God’s Word.

Keep on walking with the King,
      Courtney

  7. I’ve been with GMG since the Summer of 2013! GMG has changed my life! I can now say that I am a faithful daily bible reader! Yea! Reading God’s word in the morning gets me through the day. Thank you Courtney and your team for such an amazing website!

    1. OH Kellee – this is such a blessing to read! I’m so glad to hear that you are a faithful daily reader of God’s Word!!! Keep on going!!!!

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  8. hi Courtney, I found you 12 months ago when I started my walk with the Lord, you were just what I needed, with my brand new unopened bible in hand I had no idea where to start and then I found your “Read the Bible in a year” and I am so thankful for you, and your groups on FB. My day doesnt feel right if I dont start it with my bible study and I am learning so much. I have just recently found a group of local ladies who I am doing a buble study with as well, but I am most happy doing yours. Thank you so much!

    1. Hi Kim,

How exciting to be here at the start and I’m so glad God has provided a group of local ladies for you to study with as well. That is a blessing!

      Keep walking with the King,
      Courtney

  9. Somehow, somewhere I connected with Women Living Well this year, 2015! More than likely, I don’t fit into your majority demographics. I’m a retired educator so I imagine I’m a bit older than most here! I’m a bit embarrassed to say it’s been many years since I’ve diligently walked with the king, had my quiet time, read and studied daily devotions. So,here I am. Thankful for all of you. Grateful I am finding my way again! Blessed! Thank you all for your hard work and helping me to get back to my spiritual roots. Definitely a work in progress..STILL! Know that you’re touching and changing many lives.

    1. Welcome Nancy – I’m SO glad you are here!

With age comes wisdom so you are more than welcome here – we need more older women to speak into our lives. Thank you for commenting!

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  10. I found Women Living Well and Good Morning Girls last September when I was staying at the hospital with my terminally ill mom who was in her last days on this earth. She passed away on 9/17/14. Your ministry helped me so much through that difficult time. Thank you for sharing your gifts. God has opened my heart through your ministry and refocused me on Him and His work in my life. He uses the words shared by you and the other women in the daily reading responses to grow my faith. When my mom died all I wanted was to have her back. Now, even though I still miss her like crazy, I wouldn’t wish her back here for anything because I realize what she already went through and that she is in heaven worshiping God before His throne! The thought is so incomprehensibly marvelous…there are just no words. I have a very difficult relationship with my siblings, who resented me for following my mom’s wishes in her last days, but God has used your ministry to see me through that and help open my eyes to the truth about those relationships. I had always put my siblings on a pedestal, but God opened my eyes to see them for what they really are and to teach me to back off from them and to trust Him to restore those relationships in His time. Thank you so much! May God continue to bless this ministry and all the women who are part of it.

    1. Dear Sharron,

I’m so sorry for your loss last September. I’m also sorry to hear about your difficult relationships with your siblings. I can’t imagine how hard this must all be to walk through. I’m so glad God brought you here and has worked in your heart so much. Beautiful.

      Keep walking with the King!
      Courtney

  11. I have been with GMG since 2012. This group means everything to me. It keeps me engaged with Gods word and accountable. My friend and I do bible study off the monthly reading plan. We have both grown so much in the word since doing so. I am so glad this group is established. Thank you for you obedience to God and going after your vision. It’s very inspiring!

    1. Hi Gigi,

Wow – since 2012! We’ve been together a long time – I can’t believe how time flies! I’m so glad to hear that you have a friend to do this with – that always makes it sweeter!

      Keep walking with the King!
      Courtney

  12. After my husband lost his job in a very confusing and long story he was able to find work in another state (Indiana) and we moved there with our 3 young children (5,3, 2 months) I made an immediate connection with some women from the church we attended and joined a group of them that were reading your book, I have not had a computer on the Internet since then and have to follow along with you on my phone but I must say that I enjoy reading your view on scripture. I am in the middle of my own long term plan to get through the bible so I have not been reading along but have loved reading what you have to say on yours. And I am incredibly excited to see what you have to say on the proverbs 31 study.
My son (who was 2 months when I found you) will be 2 years old in October. …

    1. Hi Samantha,

I’m so glad to hear that when you moved you got involved in your new church and joined a study. That’s great! Keep on studying his word and walking with the King!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  13. What a beautiful story of how it began -I had the blessing of being one of your GMG’s <3 Community is such a gift – I pray that the women who are a part of these groups will grow closer to God and one another through all of life's ups and downs. Love to you always, Nelle

    1. Hooray – one of my very own GMG’s! Thank you for years of accountability and sharing. I’m so blessed to call you my friend.

      Love you,
      Courtney

  14. I started following GMG a few months before the “Read through the Bible” study began. Your ministry has helped me become disciplined in setting aside special time with God each morning (I used to read my Bible only a few days a week, sadly) and your posts have supplemented by Bible reading in a profound way (I love how you reference Scripture in every post). I’ve grown so close to God and have a fresh new look on life! Thank you for all that y’all do to help women with their individual walks with Christ! This ministry is a huge blessing in my life!!

    1. Hi Audra,

I love hearing that you have grown closer to God through GMG – that makes me want to do cartwheels and it makes every bit of time spent at my computer – worth it!!!

Keep walking with the King and I am so glad you are here!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  15. I found Women Living Well on facebook, and read about the Proverbs bible study, and knew i wanted to do it. I love having the accountability, its been a little hard to talk to my group everday, but knowing they are there is so wonderful. I love this group, it has helped me to have a closer relationship with God, then i have really ever had. I am also doing The Dig bible Study along with my boys and they love it! Its so awesome to share this with my children. Thank you so much!!

    1. Welcome Suzanne!

I’m so glad to hear you have a group and you are doing the Dig with your boys – wonderful! Your children are blessed to have a mommy who loves the Lord and is teaching them to love Him as well.

      Keep walking with the King!
      Courtney

  16. Hi, I really searched for my reply before when you ask us of the “6 Benefit of an Online Bible Study.” Here it is —-

    Dear Courtney,

I am so thankful for your heart to disciple women even online. I came across your blog during the launching of GMG’s Blogging Through the Bible. I was so interested in joining a group but the links given me didn’t work until it finally closed 🙁 However, I still follow along with the ŕeading, your videos and blogs. It is really encouraging and though I have not met you personally, I’m telling my friends that I have an online discipler 🙂

I love how we read through the bible one chapter a day. Before, every start of the year, I will always make a plan to finish the bible in one year and read 3-5 chapters a day as per the reading plan I got which I am unable to comply. I feel it’s too long and I don’t have enough time. Also, nobody is motivating me or enlightening me as to how it applies to my life. So I will stop in the middle of the plan. Then comes December, I will feel frustrated not having read even 1/4 of it. Then I’ll start in Genesis again.I was so encouraged when you say we can read even 1 chapter a day and it doesn’t matter if we finish the whole bible in 2 years. The most important thing is we’re in the word everyday. So now as January comes, I will just continue on with where we left with 1 chapter a day and savor His word for me.

I am looking forward to be in GMG group next year and it is my desire to disciple others even online. Hope to lead my own GMG next year, God willing. I am blessed to be here in UAE where God has allowed me to disciple “all nations” without having to travel too 🙂 Most of the nations are represented here just like you don’t have to be in the “missions field” to share the gospel. I praise God for this privilege!

Thanks and God bless this online bible study. May God continue to use you mightily leading women from different places, countries and time zones as we walk with our King!

    ______

For the update, by God’s grace, I am now leading my 2nd GMG FB group “A Chapter a Day” composed of an all Filipina group. To God be the glory!

    1. Hi Leah – I LOVE your update!!! I’m so excited to hear you are leading a group for the 2nd time – thank you for leading!

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  17. Good morning, girls!

I was blessed to discover GMG in 2013 through your YouTube videos, Courtney, about homeschooling! It was like a chain reaction of blessings – I was first encouraged greatly by your schooling videos as a new homeschool mom, then discovered your other videos and your website, and then felt led to find out what exactly this GMG was all about that you spoke of. I can’t express what a right-on-time-blessing this was! It was the inspiration and accountability that I needed at that time in my life. I have been blessed in my quiet time with The Lord and His Word immensely! I have been blessed with a few friends that I made in my groups that truly are treasures
to me and I wouldn’t have them without GMG. Our Reading Through The Bible session is the first one where I haven’t joined a group and I miss it, but our family has had a very difficult time over the past year with two close loved ones who fought there own separate health battles that I helped take care of and have now both gone home to be with Jesus. It’s been difficult and hard and I, honestly, felt that I just couldn’t be accountable to my group with struggling to overcome my grief and weariness from it, although I still very much followed along in every other area. The Lord is faithful and His strength and healing are helping me get back on track and I hope to join a group again in the Fall! GMG has also encouraged me to encourage my children to have their own special time in the Word and I love sharing what I learn with them. Thank you, Courtney- and all of the leadership team- for your ministries, your love, your encouragement, and your selfless sacrifice. I thank God for you all! ❤️

    1. Dana,

I’m so sorry to hear about the loss you suffered this year. So incredibly sad and difficult. I’m glad to hear you are at a place in life again where you can join a group. I pray it will continue to be a blessing to you!!!

Thank you for sharing your story here and for the encouragement!

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

      1. Thank you, Courtney! God bless you for taking the time to reply. GMG and Women Living Well are true beacons of God’s grace! The light, love, and encouragement they exude so constantly bless me so and help to enlighten the path beneath my feet.

  18. Hi Courtney, I have been following since May of 2012 when you led the Proverbs 31 study. I still have the first printed version and am excited to see how the Lord has grown me since then and what new things He will be teaching me this time! And I’m so thankful for you and your team and continually pray for y’all as you continue. Many blessings to us all as we study God’s Word!

    Study On,
    Amy

    1. Hi Amy,

Thank you SO much for your prayers and I’m so excited to get to study the Proverbs 31 Woman again together!

Can’t wait to see what God does next in our lives!
      Courtney

  19. I think I came across your Proverbs 31 study from a link in the Better Mom website in 2011…. I did your Advent study in 2012, and loved it so much I led the Anything study during the summer of 2013. I’ve done many bible studies and have always been a part of our church’s Women’s Ministry, but have never read through the bible. When I discovered that GMG was “SOAPing” through the word every day, I knew I had to start using your resources. In the Fall of 2013, I led some women through the studies for Fall, Thanksgiving, Advent, Winter, and Easter! It was an amazing experience. After taking a year off and following the IF: studies, I noticed that some things had changed for GMG and saw that you were Blogging through the Bible. I had it on my heart to start a blog and I thought this would be a great start to it! I was a part of my Women’s ministry studies this past year, but studied Genesis for my quiet time. I did Peter with my kids in the spring for our bible time for school, and actually started blogging with this Proverbs study! I am hoping to possibly lead again this next Fall and Spring, as the color-coding has really inspired me!

Thank you for your ministry, Courtney!! May God continue to bless you for your efforts!

    1. Hi Julee,

I love hearing your story and all the ways you have been involved from leading to reading to soaping to teaching your kids and blogging!!! I love how you love God and His Word!!!

Can’t wait for our fall study together!

      Keep walking with the King,
      Courtney

  20. This was my first GMG daily walk in the Word. I was interested in the Proverbs study and drawn to it by the positive information and testimonies. I was looking for a Bible Study with people that I could do from home. It has been such a Blessing to again receive the Wisdom of God and share with my e-mail group. I also enjoyed completing the Proverbs Journal you designed. I look forward to more opportunities in the future. Thank you, Courtney, for sharing the history of Women Living Well and GMG. Also, thank you Mandy, Rosalind, Misty, and Bridget for ALL YOU DO. It was great hearing from all of you!

    1. Welcome Charlsie,

I’m so glad you joined us this summer and are in an email group – yay!

Can’t wait for our fall study together!
      Courtney

  21. I cannot express how wonderful and encouraging this ministry has been to me. I first ran across GMG in 2014 and my Mom, Sister and I did an informal group based on this reading plan. In 2015 we changed up our studies habits a bit. I went on more of a visual route for my studies and realized that by studying this way it was sticking with me and I was understanding what I was reading much better. I spoke to Courtney through an email about what I was doing and she was so encouraging that the remaining doubts I had about the “proper” way to study the Bible were washed away. I have not joined a particular group but have been encouraged by so many people that participate with GMG. Although I do not comment often, I read the facebook posts daily and love visiting the other bloggers that follow along and I appreciate having this group to aid in my learning and understanding. Thank you everyone so very much for all you do, and thank you to everyone who participates. You have all impacted my life in wonderful ways. Thank you again for everything you do!

    1. Tara – I LOVE your drawings – they are SO much fun and I’m always blessed and inspired when I look at them. Thank you for doodling through the Bible with us. You have taught me another way to study God’s Word – beautiful!!!

      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  22. I had not heard of Good Morning Girls until you spoke at MOPs last Spring. I started reading your blog after that meeting and I have been doing GMG just since you started the Bible in one chapter a day study. I’ve loved studying through the Bible at this pace and I love being able to see what all the other women are learning and the perspectives that we are all sharing. It adds so much to my understanding. As a mom of two little ones I’m thankful for a resource that I can tap into when it fits in my schedule- in the morning before they get up and during nap time. Thank you Courtney and all you other ladies who lead this for us!

    1. Hi Cat,

What? We met at MOPS? At my church? I don’t remember? But Yay!!! How fun!

I am so thankful for the way you have consistently blogged through the Bible.

Thank you for sharing this here and hopefully we bump into each other at church or the grocery store soon! 🙂
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  23. An online friend (who I met through Spark People free fitness website) invited me to do a Good Morning Girls study in summer of 2013. We started a Facebook group. I invited another online friend who invited a couple of her friends. The relationships and accountability were incredible. It blessed me greatly. When the transition happened I didn’t immediately begin your Bible studies. I began reading through the Bible, one chapter a day with Exodus. I joined another Facebook group that was reading through it and met some new people, invited another online friend of a friend. God is so good! He has used your studies to help bring me back to him. For 7 years I was out of relationship with God, believed He was angry with me because I married a non Christian. I’d go to church once in a while but didn’t read my Bible and didn’t pray. Then I decided to read my Bible on YouVersion. Slowly, God was bringing me back to Him. The restoration really happened through GMG. I started to open up to my group about my struggles and they offered me hope, encouragement, and prayer. Now, for the last year 3 months I have been part of a great church, a women’s small group, and my husband started going to church last Easter! Your marriage advice and book Women Living We’ll has helped greatly. I didn’t give up on praying for him and releasing him to God. His relationship with God had to do with him and God, not my own comfort, happiness, or wanting him to go to church with me. Last summer my husband prayed the salvation prayer! Praise God! He’s growing and changing and God is at work! My daughter has grown so much in faith going to church consistently every week and learning from the excellent children’s ministry there. Also, for the first time, she’s reading/studying her Bible with the Dig Proverbs study–perfect companion for our summer Proverbs study! My family is growing and is so blessed by your ministry. God has used you and I am so blessed. Now, I am encouraging a friend who lives on the other side of the country and we are keeping each other accountable, emailing daily and sharing our reflections on the chapter. She has gone through some difficult times, is a single mom, and has struggled in her relationships. Good Morning Girls has also brought her back into a right relationship with God, gotten her reading the Bible daily and she has turned away from a wrong relationship. Praise God! I am sure that God will continue to use you and the faithful leaders to lead us and continue to equip other women to lead and share God’s Word.

  24. I just joined the GMG Facebook group a few days ago. I also started a Bible Journal. I haven’t gotten into a daily routine yet to do my Bible Journaling, but I started, something I have wanted to do for a while. I heard about GMG from another Facebook group and thought i would check it out. So I joined.

I’m reading through the Bible using my Daily Walk Bible, also reading the New Testament in 90 days and added the Proverbs a day.

  25. Hello GMG!

You can’t even imagine the journey God has lead me on because of GMG and I am excited to share it and give God the glory! In 2012 a friend invited me to study in a GMG Facebook group with some other local gals she knew. It was really encouraging but because of it I got to know another mom I didn’t know well. I learned her heart and love of God and she learned about me. I had no idea why God had put us in this group together until her daughter was born with a chromosomal issue and ended up passing away. I had lost my son two years earlier due to similar circumstances and because we knew each other through our Facebook GMG we were able to connect in real life and share our losses with each other.
Now that would be a good story in itself but God didn’t stop working through our children’s as God’s plans for every life are perfect that my new friend and I started seeing diapers and gowns for stillborn babies so the families have time to photograph and remember their children by. Long story shortened, God two of us grew into a large group of women who meet to sew and in the past three years we have delivered over 300 burieal gowns and micro premie diapers to hospitals in the U.S. We have no budget as God has provided us prom gowns and wedding gowns that we refashion into the most special gowns we can for these families to diaper and dress their child in. Additionally my friend is wonderful at reaching out to other moms who have lost babies and inviting them to come and sew with us while we share stories and photos. We have a great time of fellowship and healing and can only hope that these items we provide are healing to the families that are saying goodbye to their babies. We have a Facebook page at
    https://m.facebook.com/groups/235718273265228?ref=bookmarks&soft=search
Whew…that’s a very condensed versions of how God worked in my life all because of Good Morning Girls!
    Thanks!

  26. I found Women Living Well/Good Morning Girls last year through a search on pinterest. I was having such a hard time committing to read the Bible every day, and needed something to keep me hooked. After trying so many things this FINALLY worked, and I couldn’t feel more blessed! I missed the sessions to join an actual group last year but when this summer came I jumped at the chance to join a group. On the forum there was a section for singles so I kept checking back for a group leader to post something…but no one was leading… So I stepped out in faith and started leading. I feel so blessed and honored to share & lead a group of over 25 women!

  27. I discovered Good Morning Girls on Pinterest when searching for bible studies this year. The bible coloring charts caught my eye first. I then read about the S.O.A.P. study method. I thought the coloring would be interesting but really wasn’t sure I would connect with the SOAP method. I was right about the coloring of the verses but SO VERY WRONG about S.O.A.P. I love both!! I just began on July 12, 2015. I am not a morning person so I am doing my Bible study at night but I am looking forward to coming home after work and reading my Bible. I have been a Christian my whole life and this is the first time I have felt so excited about reading the Bible. Thank you.

  28. Hi Courtney!
I have been following your blog for about 2 years now. I started out with make your home a haven, then did you Proverbs 31 woman study, read your book twice and have been reading thru the bible with you from the start! You have taught me to take my time with my reading and really listen to what God is speaking to me! I so look forward to this quiet time each day!
I have done the studies alone till Proverbs and I joined a group. I am not in a position at this time to do a study at our church so I hope to be able to connect with a community of woman thru here.
Thank you for this blog and all the hard work that you do.
    Katina

  29. Loved the video 🙂 I’ve been with GMG since the 1 John study in 2011. It was exactly what I needed as my 2nd child was about 2 years old at the time and I was having trouble being part of the women’s bible study at my church. It was the first time I began the SOAP method and loved the idea of going through a book of the bible verse-by-verse. I was drawn into the study with your videos, Courtney, and found so much encouragement. I asked a few moms from my homeschooling support group if they wanted to join the study and two other moms did. And I’m still really good friends with both of them to this day – four years later 🙂 one of those friends and I are going through Proverbs now. I’ve included my kids in some of the readings as well and they’ve enjoyed doing some coloring in their bibles 🙂 Thank you SO much for your work in organizing these studies and reading plans. I’m grateful for GMG and how I’ve grown in my faith as part of your ministry!

  30. I’ve been following women living well for a few years now. And I have no idea how I found you Courtney! This is my first time doing a good morning girls study. The reason? I STILL have no idea what the forum is or how to join it!! LOL I don’t see that anywhere and never never HOW to be added to a group. I really wanted to become consistent in reading the word (I have a 5,4,2 year old and a 3 month old) so I created my own FB group and share the proverbs passage everyday plus whatever materials are available tegu women living well or good morning girls.

      1. Hi Shalene –

The forum is only open 3 times a year and it’s only for about one week at a time.

It is open at the start of the fall study, start of the winter study (right after Christmas) and start of the summer study.

So it will not be open again until the last week of August/first week of September. Our fall study begins on September 7th so please watch in the month of August for announcements and links to the forum when it is open.

So glad you are joining us!!!
        Lots of Love,
        Courtney

  31. Hi Courtney and everyone at WLW/GMG!!! I found you just this year when a friend invited me to join an online group she was leading for the Book of Matthew study. I loved it!! I have been looking for a very simple direction for daily Bible study and this really has helped keep me in the Word!! Since Matthew, I have been following along by myself and I really enjoy the articles the go with each new Bible study!! Thanks for everything!! God bless you all!

    1. It should say (at the end) “I really enjoy the articles that go with each new Bible study!! I wrote “the go with” instead of “that go with”. I am so goofy! I try to proofread each thing before posting! I missed it on this one!! OH WELL!! Thank God that only He is perfect!! LOL!!

  32. I have been doing GMG since the James study, but I don’t remember what year that is with babies and toddlers at the time my brain was mush! But I really liked the teaching and the accountability. I was able to get with God everyday! I have helped out as a leader for a few years and now I do studies with my girlfriend I met at church who has been with me and GMG for several years. We actually created our own facebook page and we get together about one time a quarter for a girl date. I’m very thankful for this ministry and the team. My relationship with God and my family are much better when I am focused on what God wants me to learn in my daily life. Thank you for all your hard work!

    1. Hi Shonda,

The James study was long long ago – so we have been together a long time! Wonderful!

I am so glad to hear you have a facebook group and aren’t alone – keep persevering in the Word and I can’t wait to do another study with you this fall!!!
      Lots of Love,
      Courtney

  33. Hi Courtney!
I have been so blessed by your ministry! I found you back in January of this year. My New Years resolution was to get back into Daily Bible reading. I got married 2&1/2 years ago and I have a 16 month old. Since then I had been finding it difficult to make time everyday for devotions (I am also a 1st Grade Teacher). I googled Christian Moms Blogs and yours was one of the first ones that popped up! I knew it was the Holy Spirit guiding me that night! I love the format you use for bible study, as a teacher I just love the structure of it. That was exactly what I needed to get me back into the discipline of reading my bible everyday! I’m using the Proverbs journal for the study we are in now and absolutely love it! Thank you for all of your hard work with this ministry! God has surely used you in my life to bring me closer to Him!
    Xoxo Leah

  34. Hi Courtney!
I’m from Quebec, the French speaking part of Canada, and I began to follow your study of Proverbs last week! Before that, I was reading my Bible daily with a color system, but I was missing the part of studying it with a group! I enjoy GMG! I enjoy the reading plan, and I am rejoicing that we will study Proverbs 31 and SOS!
I am thankful to you and your team for all your work! God bless you all
    Daniele

  35. Hi Courtney! I have been following along with the One-Chapter-at-a-Time reading plan for just about a year exactly. I love focusing on one chapter a day (not overwhelming!) and have found that this keeps me consistent in reading my Bible. Thank you so much for doing this, you are a real blessing. I also love your videos!

    Thanks,
    Robin

  36. Hi Courtney and Leadership team!

First off — HUGE thank you for your ministry and your work!

I just found you on this past Ash Wednesday! I was sitting in the car waiting for my girls to get done with gymnastics and stumbled upon a pin on pinterest of the color charting. I found it totally intriguing and wanted to know more! With the lenten season and Easter upcoming i knew I needed to make some changes — i had been using Facebook A LOT, more than i should have, but was hesitant to give it up… Once I found your page and your style of study I became inspired to start my own Facebook group.

We got started with the book of Matthew. We have about 25 women in the group (plus or minus) all over the country as my husband serves in the Air Force. It has been so exciting jumping into God’s word every morning. Sharing with the women in my group and keeping each other accountable and encouraged to study God’s word has been amazing. The more and more i learn and am consistent with my studying the more convicted I am becoming. Thank you again! I look forward to reading the other books of the bible.

    Thanks!

    1. Wow Beth! This was so fun to read – 25 ladies is amazing!!!

I love how you took the initiative to lead! What a blessing you must be to all of these women.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and keep on walking with the King!
      Courtney 🙂

  37. Cant watch video now, but will stop back later and watch. I just wanted to tell you how thankful I am for this ministry, and I wish I could give you all a giant hug. Maybe someday…for sure in heaven!! Mwah! XO, Sheila

  38. My friend Sophie introduced me to GMG this year. I started with the book of Matthew. I have really enjoyed the format as a long-time disciplined daily Bible Reader, I am enjoying the different translation and the refreshing colouring system to gain my daily “nourishment”. As an older person, my first try at doing an online study with another group didn’t fit me. This one did. I am loving it. Jesus whom I’ve known personally for 46 years since I was just 15 really does grow sweeter every day. I have really enjoyed my visit to Proverbs everyday this summer. Thanks for the fun and fellowship. I also really liked the supportive comments when people posted they were struggling through Leviticus. It’s so great to be together when it’s tough going! Thanks so much! I am soooo grateful!

  39. I absolutely love you, Courtney, and everything you write. I found Womenlivingwell.org when I googled a search about wanting to be a better wife and mother. You changed my life and have been such a huge blessing to me. You helped me open my bible in a whole new way. I’ve done all of your studies since I found your site and my women’s Bible study group that I lead in my home just finished studying your Women Living Well book and everyone loved it! Thank you for being such an encouragement!!
